For the past week, we have been learning about the slave triangle and what happened to the people in South Africa that have been taken and chained to the ships. We started by talking about how the African people were treated by the Americans when they were forcefully taken from their homes and sold to be slaves. They were traded for goods and chained to each other and the floorboards of the boats. They were very close and malnourished causing some of them to die. They weren't taken out so if they died the people next to them would have to lay there with a dead body next to them praying they didn't die down there next.
