Live Aid - Social Studies

I think queen used this song, not only because it is famous, but also because it is about how a man makes a mistake by killing someone and has regrets. Like how people are dying from hunger and we are all feeling regret for not helping them sooner. This is a form of protest against all of the big-time companies that store up all this food and chuck it away instead of giving it to the people that need it. I don't feel like anyone can make a concert like live aid for it was very successful. There is some music that I seaning full not only towards hunger but also black lives matter. Songs like 'Run the worlds (Girls)' help bring up topics that need to be talked about. This concert not only helped people that were starving but it helped people stand up for things that they believe in.

Live Aid - Bob Geldof

NOTES -

Bob Geldof is a singer who was very successful when he was the lead singer of a band called 'Boomtown Rats'. He was born in Ireland on 1951 5th of October. He went to a private Catholic school, though he didn't like his time there because of its Catholic ethos and bullying for his lack of rugby prowess. He wanted to become a musician to get famous, to get rich, and to get laid.

He wrote the song 'Do They Know Its Christmas' after watching the British television news report on the extreme conditions of hunger in Arica in October 1984.
