Music Reflection
What did you enjoy last term in Music?
I liked being able to learn to play the piano at my own speed. It s easy to understand and I could ask for help when I needed it.
What skills did you learn?
I learned how to play a couple of parts of songs on the piano. I found out how to somewhat read the music note for the piano.
Did you Perform?
Yes, I performed a mix of One Kiss, No Tears Left To Cry, and Perfect. I was reading them and noticed that when one of the songs ended it landed on the same note that the next song started on.
Are you taking music next year? If so what instrument do you wish to focus on?
Yes, I signed up for music next year and if I am to get in I will be working on playing the drums. I do lessons and wish to continue working on them during class next year.

Keyboard Reflection! - Music
During the last few lessons of music, we had been learning how to play songs on the piano. I haven't played piano before so this was a new and different experience than what I was used to. The biggest thing I learned during this time was how to use all of your fingers while playing. It was much more difficult using both hands during the song cause I couldn't really focus on what I was doing. I liked the challenge.

What does Music Mean to Me - Music
What does music mean to me?
Music is something that has been helping me throughout my entire life. I listen to music while I am reading or maybe when I am not feeling the best. No matter what, music has always been there for me to listen to when I felt like I need a pick-me-up or maybe just when I was bored and want something to listen to. In the end, music is my safe place.
Have you studied music before?
When I was around 6 or 7 my father wanted to teach me how to play the guitar. After about 1-2 months of trying to learn, my father kind of gave up trying to teach me.
What type of music do you enjoy and why?
I like more upbeat pop songs but I don't really have a favorite genre. When I listen to upbeat songs my mood kind of moves along with the song which can be helpful when trying to find the feel for a song.
Name 3 bands/singers you like and why?
Ramz, Aurora, Why Don't we. I like these people even though they have a different type of feel because they all have good song beats. Another thing I like from these artists is their lyrics to most of their songs science some of them are quite relatable.
What would you like to learn in music?
I would like to learn how to play the drums but mostly would like to learn how to read the music notes.

Beats And Beyond
After that, we got into groups to share what we think music is. I think music is something that creates a rhythm or a beat that can be put together to create something that people enjoy to listen to. Today we learned what types of guitars there are and the different parts on them. Then we got out our books and did a title page which I thought was the most fun part so far. I drew a guitar and some music notes to represent someone making music.
The biggest thing I know about music is that anything can be music if you put it together and make a rhythm or beat that people enjoy listening to.
