THE ALL BLACKS - Poem

I have been writing poems to express how I have been feeling and decided that I should write a poem about all blacks to cheer them on from the sidelines. I always write poems that rhyme because to me I feel like they make the most sense. Plus when I think of a poem I think of a rhyme that has a story to tell. here is my poem that I wrote for the All Blacks.

The All Blacks - Cool To Be Kind

Today for C.I.P (cool to be kind) we have been learning about the All Blacks. We first had to find out what we already knew so we could find out what we needed to know. I knew so little about them when I first started this task but now I feel like I understand what people are saying a little better than when I knew nothing about who they were and what they had achieved. I put all of my findings on a google drawing so I don´t have to remember.

Cool To Be Kind Letter

Today for C.I.P we have been writing a letter to the person who we respect and look up to. I wrote a letter to my maths teacher Mrs, Shehata to thank her for helping with my maths and my self-confidence. We wrote the letters to the people we look up to because we want them to know that they mean something and they have helped us be the person we are today. Writing this made me feel happy because normally teachers don´t care about how you feel but only the work you get done while Mrs, Shehata asked me if I was alright when I felt like I was in a pit of depression.

Elderly Daycare

Last week on Wednesday I and a group of students volunteered to go and talk to the people at the elderly daycare to give them people to talk to and explain what we are doing at the school. I went down with Belle, Jessica, and a few of my other friends along with our teacher Mrs, Tozer. I toke my art book with me to show what I love doing and to show someone what I had been working on for a little while. While talking to them I had been shared a sad story about one of their lives and ended up in tears because no one should have to go through the lose of there siblings and loved ones. In the end, we all had fun playing a short game to take home and to the school.

Itś cool to be kind

Last week the cool to be kind C.I.P group planed a muffty day to help raise money for kids can charity. They help the kids in need who don´t have the essentials that we need. That includes food, Stationary, and clothes for those who can´t afford them. We based the theme around rainbow but to change it up we made it Radical Rainbow. We started by choosing the theme in groups that we made ourselves. We all came up with great ideas but in the end, we all decided on Radical Rainbow. Then we made posters and hung them around the school so that everyone would know to wear muffty and have fun.

Cross-Court Games P.E

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been playing games like Floor Hockey, Soccer, and Bench Ball. We did this in the new gym for more space but so the balls don’t get lost. We had been doing this to learn how to be a great team with people that we don’t often work with.

Our activity was Floor Hockey and for this activity, I rated my self a level 3. To achieve level 3 we have to show that we can consistently make a contribution to the team goal. I need to include myself and others in the team activity. I need to sometimes use positive communication to encourage our team.

During the games, I showed that I am working at level 3 by Using positive communication towards my team and including myself and others into the game to help our team go for the win. These examples show that I have the standard for level 3

While playing the Cross-court games, something that I found challenging was some of my team didn’t want to play so I had to get out for a little to help my team get back in the game. The reason I found this challenging was because I had to leave my post in the game and convince others to get back in and help the rest of the team.

However, I managed to overcome this challenge by trusting my team to get my post and let me out the game for a bit to get the rest of my team back in. Next week I am aiming to work at level 4 To make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on including myself up to the front of the game and being a leader for my team.

P.E - Hurumanu

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been playing floor hockey and four-corner soccer in our class and in teams to help us learn how to be a good team with other people who you don’t normally work with. We have been doing this in the gym. Our first activity was Floor Hockey. For this activity, I rated my self as a 3. To achieve level 3 we have to show that we can consistently make a contribution to the teams scoring by getting in the game and going to the shot. I need to include myself and others in the team activity as well as to use positive communication to encourage our team. During the first game of hockey, I showed that I am working at level 3 by using positive communication and including everyone in the game so if someone wasn’t doing their part in the team I would help them by calling them things to do. These examples show that I have met the standard for level 3. Our second activity was Six Corner Soccer. For this activity, I rated my self as a 3.To achieve level 3 we have to show that we can consistently make a contribution to the teams scoring by getting in the game and going to the shot. I need to include myself and others in the team activity as well as to use positive communication to encourage our team. During the first game of soccer, I showed that I am working at the level by using positive communication and getting myself in the game as well as letting others have their kick. These examples show that I have met the standard for level 3. Next week I am aiming to work at level 4. To make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on being a leader for the team and including everyone more into the game.
